Why ANGELCORPS is Cool!

In my last journal, I wrote down the reasons that I-Force, Crossfire and Charger are cool. And now, the rest of the team.

Why Warpath is Cool

Barrington Artecus Cross is cool because he is a brilliant curator at the British Museum, arguably the foremost museum on the planet. Even cooler is the fact that he had a dream-like encounter with the Lady of the Lake that resulted in his discovering that he’s a direct descendant of King Arthur, maybe a little unexpected for a black guy. He has come into possession of legendary Excalibur, although it has been re-forged into the Helmet of Caliburn, the source of his telepathic space-warping powers. He also possesses two other powerful objects owned by Merlin and Merlin’s original mentor, Blaise, that grant him additional amazing abilities. Finally Warpath is cool because he is the guardian of the Nexus Field, the buffering dimension that keeps all other dimensions separate from each other, a galactic responsibility that weighs heavily upon him. Scary, but bloody cool.

Why Hybrid is Cool

Angel Cruz is cool partially because he’s got a strong environmentalist leaning. He and his brothers have a very controlled and eco-centric ATV tourist business near the El Yunque Rain Forest in Puerto Rico that’s designed to enlighten the masses about the plight of rain forests around the world while some of the profits are directed to helping to preserve it. He’s also cool because he now houses DNA codes for countless Earth life forms and is able to incorporate and mix their adaptations into his molecular structure with a thought! He can create wings, bony armor, spikes, quills, sinew, claws, tails, jaws and has access to a full range of venom production. Damn, that's cool, panna.

Why Magnum is Cool

Sergei Borzkoff is cool because he’s loaded. Not with alcohol (well, occasionally) but with cash, moolah, money, cheddar. His family is rich and he boasts a rep as a wealthy Russian party boy that has access to everything in life. His day frequently consists of limos, women, smoking, drinking and purchasing. He’s also cool because he has received the ability to instantly inject or remove mass from anything, including himself, which can immediately change gravitational properties of anything he alters. He also sports some cool mutton chop sideburns and a buzz-cut with a long braid in back. Pretty cool, comrade.

Why Corpus is Cool

The reason Adam Bloodworth is cool is because he does nothing to try and be cool. His synergeneticism has given him a rather hulking, brutish, near-scary appearance in a relaxed state and he kinda resents it. As a result he's a cynical, sarcastic and self-deprecating Canadian who's entertainingly funny as hell. Ironically his univer-cellular powers give him the ability to mimic any human's appearance so he he can become as handsome as Hugh Jackman or as goofy looking as Napoleon Dynamite. It also enables him to have any cell become any other kind of cell. He can instantly replicate blood cells, bone cells, muscle, nerve, brain, nerve, skin or hair cells. You name it. Whatever he morphs into, his sentience remains embodied in the resultant mass, so even as a pool of blood cells, he can still think and act. It's also hard to slow Adam down. He can replicate any damaged cells instantly so it would take nothing short of complete cellular destruction to take him out and he's not planning to let THAT happen. S'cool, eh?

So there you have it. Why I continue to believe my team is cool.
